My history of work in the cartographic sciences (from photogrammetry and map making to geographic infrmation systems) comes full cycle into incorporating maps into my art. Whether experimenting with torn or cut-pieces of old topogrpahic maps or incorporating highway maps or pages from cartographic texts into my work I hope to bring the viewer both the art of map making as well as the treasure of new places to see…a map is the gift of exploration.
